That's what I was thinking too, but the Y Job is perfect.

  9. NW GUYS!
    I need your help!
I'm trying to generate interest in Woodburn Drag Strip "back in the day".
It should be obvious I'm into history.IF you have any photos from the 60's, PLEASE POST THEM!

My own photo of The Assassin Willys as an A/G car. It eventually became a Fuel Altered at 7.90 190 mph!

I was told that Chevy never produced a hardtop for the 53-55 Corvettes, and any you see are aftermarket tops from various manufacturers.

No but I managed to forget the bad ones...

  12. A kid and a 63 Valiant. I had one with the Slant 6, it was indestructible.I'm not kidding, it was invulnerable.
The only problem it had was the push button would stick in reverse, you had to get the Allen wrenches, take off the face plate and pull the button out with pliers!
Solution? Never park where you need reverse!

This picture has popped up a few times, always wondered what the car was. A 1954 Simca.

That cable steering reminded me of a soap box type of push and coast car my dad and I put together when I was in the 4th grade. We got the cable backwards at some point and ended up with me going places I didn't choose to be. Dad and I got a kick out of that mistake. We did correct it at some point. I still get a kick out of it when I think about it. Now with a "powered" cart it might not have been so funny.

...yea, some good memories......A handful of old soap-box derby wheels, an old 2x12, a gaggle of young daredevils, and a street with a good slope to it. Sure were a lot of skinned knees, elbows, ankles from trying to negotiate the 90 degree bend at the bottom of the hill
