Glad you picked it up. I didn't want anymore projects but seen potential at that price. Also it was almost next door. Congrats.

 

Wait till Anglia /Prefects start following you home also. The shop gets small fast. Could be worse though. Enjoy the dream brother.

I started preparing the sedan for the body swap.

 

I think I see a coupe slowly forming. Hopefully I can do the body swap this weekend.

Yeah, I wanted it to, but, seller never posted more pics like he said he would when I messaged about it last February. Would of just drove out to look at it, however, when you're 800 miles away pulling a trailer it's too far to drive incase there were any surprises, been down that road before.

 

Maybe I should think outside the box and build a radical coupe. I've never liked the 37-38 front but this guy cut into the headlights and fenders a little as well as the rear fenders for a nice change.

Or maybe it's lipstick on a pig.

 

I like the 37-38 front if the headlights are converted. There are some out there that now have 47-53 chevy pickup headlights. They are larger and are recessed back a few inches from stock. It makes the world of difference to me.

I actually stole some time today while the wife was with the kid.

I removed the IFS and robbed parts from another frame that I have.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the 37 front but I guess i'll cut into it and see if my attitude changes.

 

I have always loved Cragars. Your project, but if I get a vote I say 40-42 nose.

I sure am glad I didn’t find one 20 yrs ago cause I would have made it a street rod. I’d be kickin my own ass about now.

 

My good friend want to use my 37 front fenders and hood for his shop awning and I found a 41 front end, so it looks like I'm building a 41 coupe.

 

Always fun to watch your projects take shape! Speaking of odd headlights, these are hard to beat. Bob
