I'm looking for a shop that I can trust, easy to work with and specialized in Hot Rods/Classic cars. I have a 1956 Chevy truck and I want to change out the old harsh ride front end for a new Chevy Truck Coil Spring front end conversion (weld on unit). This is something I don't wish to do on my own. Folsom / Sacramento area, Do you have any recommendations for a shop? Thank you in advance.
search online for Hot Rod Fabrication and Repair Inc in Roseville, and others. best if you change your post to just state that you are looking for a place that does suspension fabrication rather than including a Must II as your goal - Must II is very controversial here
TTLWH, keep me informed if you locate a good shop. I’m considering having someone do an engine/transmission swap (and more) in my 1960 F100. I don’t know where to start. I’m in El Dorado Hills. I remember seeing some cool rides from this shop out at car shows around Sacramento (http://www.philferrarihotrods.com/phil-ferrari/). I can’t vouch for them.
Try Tolle fabrication. He does very nice work. I use him for alot of fab stuff on 40's He also builds chassis etc for Bonneville cars and Progas drag cars as well. He is in Rancho Cordova Also might try Pagano's Rod and Custom-they have done some work for me and I was pleased.
I do not know about the below shops these where recommended to me from another person I saw at a local car show.. Tim Lohrey of Tim's Hot Rods Shop, Rods R Us and Lucky 7 Speed, All shops are somewhere near Sac town
Hey TTLWH, I just could not pass this up...great name!!! "Take The Long Way Home"...that song will last in our minds forever, or at least all day today! VERY CATCHY... Good Luck in your search... Jnaki Just had to dig it up from our mp3 files... 1979, Those were some interesting times...
Great song by Supertramp. this one is by Tom Waits.......... Well I stumbled in the darkness I'm lost and alone Though I said I'd go before us And show the way back home Is there a light up ahead? I can't hold on very long Forgive me pretty baby but I always take the long way home Money's just something you throw Off the back of a train Got a handful of lightening A hatful of rain And I know that I said I'd never do it again And I love you pretty baby but I always take the long way home I put food on the table And a roof overhead But I'd trade it all tomorrow For the highway instead Watch your back, keep your eyes shut tight Your loves the only thing I've ever known. One thing for sure pretty baby I always take the long way home You know I love you baby More than the whole wide world You are my woman I know you are my pearl Let's go out past the party lights We can finally be alone Come with me and we can take the long way home Come with me, together we can take the long way home Come with me, together we can take the long way home
