Do they have any sort of markings? The angled mounting bracket certainly stands out. I wonder why they are laid out like that only to have the arm bent back inward.

I have a modest pile of lever shocks but none with that setup.

Went over in the Green Machine to see Ron today- he's getting that roadster right spiffed up for the ROG.
Also saw the coupe sitting in the driveway- lotta pieces, but it sits pissah! (If you squint and fill in the blanks, it's going to be a KOOL little car.)

Most of the mechanical stuff has been taken care of so I thought maybe I could make the roadster look a little more presentable KIMG0380.JPG KIMG0381.JPG

I mounted the front shocks today. I was paying attention when onekoolkat made his on the Skoog special. These friction shocks are big and goofy so I tried to hide them behind the wheels KIMG0391.JPG

Looking good... Clock is ticking down Ron. 9 days and counting... My e-mail is down but if you need a hand or parts Mike B. has my phone or get me through Sloppy. You're doing the Bondo but I'm the one getting itchy. See ya on the beach...

Using 80 year old metal to patch an 80 year old car? That's a nice! " Adam 401" will love it.

I've got a set of those shocks with angled bases on the front of my roadster. A guy told me he thought they were '42 rears? I don't know but I shortened the levers and they worked great.

Two days ago I tried to fire up the roadster. . . . Dead battery! My nemesis! I feel I can build, fabricate, assemble these old cars but I cannot wire them. My brother and nephew came to the rescue. We had it wired up as 6 volts before, now everything is 12 volts. New ignition switch, voltage regulator, etc. Now it all is key on power including electric fuel pump. All my gauges work too! KIMG0413.JPG

Thanks to Scott and Timmy for spending a couple of hours making my car safe.
Next up was passenger side bodywork. Not perfect but it will look good on the beach! KIMG0412.JPG KIMG0414.JPG first gas stop KIMG0415.JPG

I wanted to get bigger (7.50) blackwall tires for the back but it just isn't in the cards yet. My rears are whitewalls inside and out so they will be staying for a little while.
