I have a stock (for now) 39 tudor. I want to ditch the stock distributor for the later crab type. As the 39 style coils just are not available. The car is 6 volt and I have the opportunity to buy the harmon and colins 6 volt one pictured one. I understand there is an adapter available to make it fit. Does anyone know where to get one? We stock both types adapters if your buddy doesn’t have them. Assuming you have the 3 bolt timing cover, and the stock 39 camshaft, this is the adapter. It will move the distributor out front by an extra 3/8”. If your motor has the shorter 42-48 camshaft, you’ll also need the spacer button.

  13. On the Harmon & Collins dizzy, make sure that the middle spacer (orange part) and the rotor are good. Those parts are difficult to find.
