    .
Here is a video link of kookie T on display at mecum.
Like many others I have waited decades to see both of these cars see the light of day again. I have always been impressed by both of them since a young age.

The real bummer about how this all played out is that George passed just a couple years before Skonzakes and didn’t get to see the GS again.

Did we establish who purchased it or is it a secret?

Yeah, I am curious to know who the new caretaker(s) of the Golden Sahara and the Kookie are as well.

I watched both online live. Not that big a deal really when there's nobody offering commentary in the background. Just the din of the auctioneer's ramble until a hammer drops. I actually enjoy that environment and Mrs Jocko hates it.

@Moriarity the electronix bay looks more populated than was shown in a previous post...whats the story on that...V1 & V2?

Thanks for the pics...great that its still around but sad to see it such a shadow of it's former self...

Jim would have probably liked to put it into space as a vision...lots of wild thought and creation input and executed. You have honed in on several of them...;)

Sorry you didn't get the ownership...at least you had time to closely study and admire it.

Will be cool to see these two cars restored. Whoever paid up should have enough to repro the hauler.....and the boat.

Why was duct tape applied to the doors?

I can only imagine the dollars it will take to get that thing back to 100%!

Perhaps it was applied by an aging owner bandaging wounds to a former star of the yesteryear.

That vibrancy in life, beautiful wife, that incredible vision to channel the automotive vision with what you have created, wowing so many with what you have created.

But while the crowds were wowed for a time the automobile evolution evolved without Jim's vision. What I mean by that is it did but without his status being changing from a custom car guy. His ideas evolved but without rewarding him. They stole his visions or weren't quite ready for them but they did use them all eventually.

I do believe what we are seeing is a sad ending with somebody taking one of Jim's bright lights perhaps his finest and perhaps resurrecting it's former glory again wowing but little more than that.

Hopefully it bring a smile to the man who created the genious who is now in spirit.

    These are just my thoughts.

Offhand I'd say the tape was used to secure a tarp over the top of the car.
