  1. I have a passion for old signs. So much so I started making them. Anyway here are some original old ones and some I made.

  6. Mark,I knew you made some signs but I was unaware you have made so many, you missed your calling, that work looks better than some of the professional sign painters I have dealt with in the past. HRP

If Old Signs could talk what interesting stories they could tell us!!!
I also love old sign fonts and lettering styles from back in the day when sign painters would take an old farmers barn on the side of a major road and letter up the sides with advertising in the day's before we had bill boards.

My Dads name was L.J. Anderson so when I found this sign years ago I thought it was a neat sign to have. It weatherd to the point where you can barley make out the L but I like it. I found an old light to hang above it to add to the vintage look. IMG_2540.JPG it.

  13. A few of my signs, this old Goodrich sign is in good shape for it's age and the fact it was used to patch a floor in a rooming house bathroom.

A sign painted friend gave me this one.

My grandfather had a small country store and these came from there.

This one was hand painted on wood.

  14. This is a old Pepsi sign to was nailed to the side of my grandfathers country store.

I think it's time to remove it from the barn and bring it inside.

This one is on my barn.

  15. Sign, sign, everywhere a sign...:D:cool:

  16. I have a few, most are repops, but I have two vintage signs. The Champion sign was a gift from a good friend who was remodeling his garage and decided it didn't fit the new aesthetic. Would love to find a few more of the hanging attachments. The Hudson sign I found in the woods behind one of the barns shortly after we moved to the farm. Those are my size 13 feet in the picture for scale IMG_0227.JPG IMG_0341.JPG IMG_1651.JPG . Oh yeah, did anyone mention license plates?

Had to get this.......front side is a hand painted sign. AM/FM 40 channel CB. Was $289 NOW $199. GO GO side is older. Front 70's? (from what I recall of 40 channel CB's becoming popular). It will be displayed on the GO GO side. Trying to talk the wife into hanging in bedroom. Probably not.
