..............I thought it always was 8 or "whenever his crew gets there and gets organized"......Actually, and I'm not on Facebook, but I was told that he posted yesterday that if folks wanted to slow their roll and show up a tad later there might be a better chance of some breaks in the rain.

 

Don, are you still coming? This rain is some serious bullshit. It may come to taking the daily driver. Blown big block, slicks and rain just will not work.

 

......................Steve, I still plan on coming up at some point Sat. morning in a D.D. Feel bad for Larry and all of his crew, especially with the new venue. Hopefully he will still get a "decent" turnout.

Actually, I meant to say that I will drive my 41 if it’s only light rain or drizzle. Since I have louvers, no wipers and rely on the rain X, ha ha.

 

This rain is insufferable, I looked out yesterday to this baby turtle checking out my parking lot!
Because of the rain we'll have to pass on the Showdown this year, to support Larrys' effort I'm sending him my admission fee, purchasing a poster and maybe a tee shirt too. We all know how heartbreaking it is for Larry and Crew to go thru all this work and have a rain-out, maybe a little help will give them incentive to have it again next year.

I got the color on and car back together enough to start and run around the 'hood to see what fell off. But with no windows and questionable top, I'm probably going to puss out on driving it tomorrow. Hope to drive up anyway and will look for the banner to say Hi! to the rain ex bros.

Here's the result of my paper pattern, bimini top material, rattle can dyed roof on a AH Bugeye Sprite modified irons. The clamps on the header were temp. now stapled. I need to respray the trunk lid, but figured the humidity will be around. Anyway, happy I did it all in a garage. Paint job is homegrown too, so it's a 10'er, but its mine.

 

I here ya! I'm here and sit up camp at the Latimore fair grounds. Waiting on the rest of the gang. The plan is to drive to the show in the morning. WE'RE camped at the end of camp grounds. At old US 15 and Baltimore rd. Stop by, or we'll see you tomorrow. RON....

That is one muddy track at Lincoln this morning.
Ron, you guys camping are hard core. Did you drive your delivery or the amphibious vehicle?

Not the delivery. I too run slicks . So the wife's caddy this year. I getting a little to old to drive the 29( Lo UFO ) for more than an hour from home. It's the only Rod I drive in bad weather. It's not afraid of a little mud. Lol. I Haven't seen the track yet as we're camping at the Latomore museum camp grounds. DRIVE safe Everyone! RON...
