Picked up this 1/4 midget racer from an older friend of mine. He has had it since the 70s. I want to restore it up for my kids to drive. But unsure where to start. I don't know the brand of it, and I can't find much online about the motor. Any help would be great . 20180514_181802.jpg 20180514_190542.jpg 20180514_181815.jpg

"Solt" equipment was the hot ticket. With that, it must have the correct / orginal "Continential engine ! Good looking machine !

You might do a search for QMA or Quarter Midget(s) Association of America?
Request a current rule book if you are so inclined?
You could also try searching Vintage Quarter Midgets?
The Continental/Deco engine was the only approved engine for sanctioned QMA race cars for years. Newer classes were formed that allowed a stock Briggs and Stratton and then certain stock Honda engines were approved.
Both my son's raced Quarter midgets until they grew too big for them.
That was back in the mid 80's and early 90's.
I am confident that there have been a ton of changes since then.
Beware, these can be like a "crack pipe". Once you pick it up you may not be able to put it down!
I spent a small fortune as a "team owner". And I don't regret one minute of it!

2nd going to FB. When I found my micro midget they not only identified it but showed pics of unrestored ones. Lots of info in some of those groups.
