This Merc is "Little Pages" cool, door handles and all!

This one may have missed on the spotlight placement, but the Lincoln push-buttons are perfect on a 4-door Merc as mild as this.

Talk about the "Little Pages", this one could have been taken directly from the "Reader's Rides" section.
I can see it now... "Plans include Tuck and Roll, T-Bird motor." :D

Great looking '49. Even after all these years, I think a mildly customized shoebox with some attitude adjustment is a great looking car. Of course, I'm somewhat prejudiced:

I just noticed this car, from this thread seven years ago. I wouldn't consider this a mild custom at all (it's chopped and hardtopped, among other things), but I think it's quite an interesting car. Anybody have any other views of it?
