    Damn, I've been at Cordova 7 or 8 times and I don't remember the area being that flat. I remember even the pit area kind of a rolling hilly area. Sandy, yes, I remember that. And I remember the neat little cafe at the track, great for breakfast. I loved that place, last time was 2008. I was there in the 60's too (it's one of the oldest drag strips in the country). Anyway, they were having a big race there, a lot of dragsters were there. Garlits was there, we were standing around in the lanes shooting the shit (I think the track was getting de-oiled from someone bouncing their crankshaft down the track). Anyway, Garlits points up a little hill in the rear of the pit area; "Ya see that tree up there? My daughter was conceived under that tree."...

    Peter Fuller Cad-Olds. Was a Porsche dealer for a while, but sold the dealership after a short while.
    Fuller dad was a past Governor of Massachusetts.

    Rootie, a plaid midget egad. I thought the 2 checkerd board midgets in the east (ARDC) were over the top.
