got something similar made recently for 38 chevy pu speedo.local firm, old fashioned.no job too small while I waited in two different thicknesses.original was crusty.didnt want to take the chance on breaking the curved glass.cut from rubber sheet.

  5. I just cut them myself from cork or paper gasket sheets with a sharp stanley knife. Keep your fingers behind the blade just for safety sake. Obviously you take the diameter from the glass or chrome ring.

think I will try and cut my own, but my gasket material is thin... I will cut them 2 or 3 at a time...pix if it works...

not as bad as I thought it would be...traced a CD, trimmed about 1/8" smaller than the disc...
cut the inside about 1/4" from the outside... looks like it will work... DSCN3068.JPG

  13. another way that i have done it in the past was with strip caulk [dumdum] rolled real thin or plumbers putty. works well, cleans up nice, seals and lasts a long time.
