This will come at the rite time, I was feeling a little stale on the HAMB lately. My blood started to race a little faster when I read this post. Will Antiquated have it's own Classifieds? Does a 68 year old girlfriend count as Antiquated?
Now we all will get to see everything Moriarity & Dr. Funk owns!

If you really want to know the ins and outs of vintage trailer construction look up the videos of Mobiltec on youtube. A guy named Larry Walsh who restores them RIGHT. The way they are put together, you have to do repairs in a certain way and most people do them wrong. His videos are a must if you want to build or fix a vintage trailer.

Been thinking about a retro style camper interior on the bus
I also like building Taylor Tot strollers.

Will stuff like this be legal here?

This one belongs or belonged to a HAMB member. I have never seen anything else like it.

I like this idea a lot. I love all things vintage, and will be a frequent visitor to the Antiquated forum.

  11. My wife and I have lots of old stuff in our home. (besides me) We have gone to large antique flea markets such as Brimfield for many years. Consequently our house is full of antique things restored, original, and repurposed. I have a thing for old signs and I also make my own. Here are some things I have photos of right now.

I find this kind of ironic. Just recently there was a 'refocus' thread by the boss. Regardless, I dig it.

I can add a couple of things to that list. My tractor and my wife. I guess she qualifies because she was born in '65.

GREAT IDEA!! Cars are my main passion...but I do have others. I think many people who like the HAMB, appreciate and love old stuff....makes sense...why would we be so devoted to a certain time period and limit it to cars? Its evocative of a simpler time...there are also many other things that do that...with this idea, you have now captured more of those things. I would say damn near everything made before '65 is cool and worth a look. Thanks so much! I looked at the new thread and already saw several that were really cool and made me smile. Segregating it from the main board is a master stroke..those who want to look, can..those who don't care, won't be bothered with it.

That is a VERY early Airstream trailer, like 1937 - 1941 when they first started making streamlined aluminum trailers. Highly collectible today, few were made and even fewer survived WW2 scrap drives.

Let’s get a classified here :) my kind of stuff. I also have this kind of stuff in my house. I took an old barn down 1880s and used the wood for my house. Even built my island out of the beams. Township wouldn’t let me put it back up —so used all I can for my house ....

Mark, I hope you and other HAMBers know the story of "Lacey Lady" the B-17 that was on top of a real station, now under restoration to become air worthy again. Bob

Good eye. It does look a lot like a Bowlus for a good reason. Bowlus had the door on the front. Wally Byam bought up the remains of the Bowlus company and continued making the same trailer but with the door moved to the side, with approval of Hawley Bowlus. Only the prewar Airstreams had the tapered tail and side door.
