So, I am at a swap meet about 5 years ago and picked up this lil petro mini bike. It is powered by an Ohlsson and rice 1 hp 2 stroke engine. Top speed 12 mph So I started to research the engines and found out they used em in all kinds of things like drills And circular saws And 300 watt generators, so if you have 3 light bulbs you need lit, I am your man Later I found another mini bike, this one is a grasshopper This one I got from Guffey, it is a home built Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Another different generator still 300 watts, so again if you need 3 light bulbs lit, I’m your man Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I had one running for just a little while once. It instantly filled the garage with smoke. They are meant for outdoor use Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I just figured out why I can only find one on the bay. You have cornered the market on tiny, cool, vintage two stroke powered devices.
And to think I scrapped out one of those drills a few years ago. It wouldn't run, and my small engine guy couldn't get parts for it, so it went in the scrap pile.
Minibikes are cool. I'd love to have one someday. Wanna see if this 6' 2" guy can fold himself up enough to ride one. And while we're on the subject of "tiny" mini-bikes.... This was at the MSRA Back to the 50's about 20 years ago. Had a two stroke chainsaw engine. And yeah, the guy did actually ride it around - put his feet on the "highway pegs" by the front wheel!
Although not technically a mini bike it is a mini motorcycle. A Dandy pocket bike from the 1970's that I have owned since 1979. Powered by a 3.5 hp Subaru chainsaw engine it managed to propel my 260 lb. ass to a measured speed of 37 mph at a motorcycle show in Ohio. It also made the front page of the local paper.
Some of those are too small right now im waiting to hear back from a guy so i can buy this Sent from my LG-M327 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
