Does anybody know what later Model GM bell housing has a slave cylinder bracket embossed into the housing itself? If so what make model and years and what size clutch does it accept? Thanks in advance.
Camaro/Firebird would be my first guess; actually, my only guess. My parts book (E-BAY listings) say 82-94, and they are't cheap.I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
But I think the camaro one has the trans at an angle. The one I am in search of has the trans straight not tilted
I've never had a problem with a bracket. Bleeding the crazy things is another story, but the brackets no issues.
Had to hunt it down to see, that whole unit that 31 Vicki With a Hemi showed in post 9 runs 208 bucks with bracket, slave cylinder, push rod and fork. Still a guy should be able to visualize and fab a bracket in short order https://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/clutch/kit-hcr3/kit-hcrc/
I’m thinking around pre 64 truck had cast iron with slave . It had no bottom just a sheet metal cover . Made clutch swap easy .
What clutch fork are you using 31 Vicky, I've fabbed something similar for my 40, but had to shorten my fork, but as i have to remove the engine to remove the fork so i can fully weld and brace it, It would be easier to put a shorter fork in... Im running a 168 flywheel and 11" clutch, Thanks (after and before pics below)
The 85-7 truck bellhousing is the one I’m looking for if anybody has one laying around, hit me up! I’m swapping out a new turbo 350 for a T5 so I have a fresh rebuilt 350 for sale if anybody is in the market!
Early to mid 90's 4WD pickups also had a hydraulic slave cylinder on the passenger side because all of the front driveshaft stuff was on the drivers' side.
