1959 Lions Tapia Bros. Ford push truck... Some kid in the red Pendleton, double exposure.

    Hello,

Watching old digital videos brings up some interesting photos that normally would have been staged in those early photo days. But, we did not have a 35mm film camera until 1966-67. Back then, it was shoot, rewind the film a turn or two, estimate where and reshoot a new photo. That was the modus operandi for getting double exposures on 35mm film.

So, in the era of no camera, 1959-60, getting a double exposure shot digitally on film is something that was not expected. This portion of the films was shot by a friend, while I was taking a break. He caught me standing at the start line for several races. I did not know he was filming and did not see it until a several months ago.

    Hello,
One of my wife's pet peeves was the small front windshield of our old 40 Ford Sedan Delivery. That was her only vision while we were cruising around So Cal. She was used to driving around in our 65 El Camino and this vision outward was very different. But, it was also different when she was the driver, cruising around in the sedan delivery. Now, the senses were on alert and the sound, ride, feel of the steering, etc. all made driving around pleasant for her.

Ever wonder what it looks like through a chopped top, hot rod and what the view will be like going down the street? A great bird’s eye view of the surroundings through a chopped top sedan delivery, developed in a different way. A few digital changes creates an unusual image for printing.

The 40 Ford Sedan Delivery and the 38-40 Willys Sedan Delivery have fairly small front windows to begin with from the factory. So, the external view will be more limited, while on that “chopped” daily drive. My wife’s concern on our 40 Ford Sedan Delivery was the blind right rear quarter panel. Right rear, quarter, blind spots? It is now, accentuated to the “nth” degree in a chopped top, sedan delivery.

Not news for SEG regulars but Greg Porters' 55 Chevy is about the baddest old school gasser I've witnessed run.
Saw it bang off pass after incredible pass at the CHRR in Bakersfield a couple years ago.
Met Greg and Tony Turner (Quick and Dirty) at Bako, thanks for the entertainment boys.

If you've seen pictures of my car before, you'll know it's flat black with red scallops so it's really interesting how different light acts on the car.
