Looks good to me , my only complaint would be to put smaller tires on the front which would also give it more rake but that’s just me , either way still a cool car Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Hey Ben, the hemi looks right at home in your shop. Now its brothers are nervous and worried! I am glad it went to you. I think you will do it righteous. I enjoyed doing business with you. Mick.
Grill is '34 but frame, dash, no lock cylinder under outer passenger door handle says '33. Tiny differences and it is probably titled as a '34 but sometimes ya need to know things like that to replace things. Doors and w/s frame are different too. '33 w/s slides out, '34 cranks out. I have a '33 Ply Coupe too. 331 Hemi, fenderless project. Love the look of yours! Mine is to be satin black too. Dave
'34 had independent front suspension except for a cheaper model. '33 had centered instruments, '34 had them on drivers side with a glove box the same size on pass side. Early '33 (PC) had no glove box, later PD had small glove box on right and small fake one on left. Roof is taller in front on '34 too. Sorry, all those little details get crammed in my brain and won't go away!! Dave
If you follow up the front of the door frame with a ruler. The window posts line up as well on a 33. On the34. The windshield posts lean back a bit.
I like the wheel change and the new headers too, although I'm sure I'll like the hemi engine even better. Neat car, cool story.
I think the tube frame will prove to be too flimsy for that engine the wooden motor mounts will cause a lot of vibration... also the rear steer system isn't really working for me because your bigs n littles are switched around....I know it's a work in progress but where does the seat go?
Ok. So the rear end was not the 8.8 that I thought it was, it was a 7.5. I paid a local Mustang shop to do a gear swap from 2.73 to 3.73. Rather than source a new d shaped differential pinion shaft to clear the taller gears they milled down the old one. That subsequently failed and the rear end grenaded itself in the first burn out. Getting this ready to run in the garage. This is basically just to stand around and look at whole drinking beer. This winter it will be built properly. Stockish rebuild, cam, dual quads, lake headers, Chevy waterpump, etc. Looking for 350 hp. Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Getting closer! Wilcap adapter and flywheel arrives Tuesday! Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I love the early hemis. I have a 392 sitting on my engine stand ready to go into the next project, just have to paint the Imperial valve covers. How did you get the letters painted so nicely on yours?
So I bought black paint pens, both fine and thick, from Walmart and basically just traced the lettering. Gasoline destroys it, though. When I get everything done for real, I'll have a pinstriper paint it. Sent from my SM-G950U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

You have done quite an admirable job on your Mopar. I have one question. It appears that the grille should be angled toward the cowl at the top a bit. I am in no way criticizing the car. Could be my eyes aren't focused and I'm wrong, but just asking. Those engine bays on Mopars had so much more room than Ford counterparts, there is usually plenty area for a V-8. Really like what you have done. Just wish I could be as proficient as you. Hope to see you at the Bayou Roundup.
