Got bored tonight. I'm surprised the speed o is as clean as it is even has the quality signature on the back of the face, but I'm afraid the input on the speed o is pretty rusted up.

I have a question, do I need to split the wishbone, and then order the spring? Looking a Posies site it seems like you have to split the bone then order the spring based off of the measurement, or am I way off?

I found all the windshield trim, but it looks like one piece got smooshed and bent in the same spot. How would I go about making it look half way decent again?[IMG][IMG]

    Topher,

Check out YouTube for videos on straightening, repairing, and polishing trim. If you search these topics on the HAMB you should find some information as well I believe. The damage shown in your photos above should be repairable. Good luck and please share your results if you take on this challenge.

  7. Make a small anvil using steel ground to shape that fits inside (test fit to an undamaged area) and use that with plastic hammers on the outside. Often wondered if metal epoxy could be cast to fit and used as an anvil. Work slow, very slow and tap gently with hammers it is thin stuff. Avoid sanding/filing if you can unless you have super deep gouges. Polish as you would with any stainless once it is straight, machine or by hand.

Looks angled. But is that how the required caster comes about?

It's all in the camera angle. Take one from overhead.

Other then drilling a couple of holes, it fits quite nicely.

Some one suggested that the cross member is angled for a little extra caster to improve the ride

This was a very unproductive day today. I was hoping to mock up the front suspension, but I spent most of the day trying to get a bushing out of the spring. IMG_20180429_170722518_HDR.jpg

Well that was a very unproductive day. Has planned on getting the spring on and getting the shock mounts in place. I spent all night wrestling this stupid spring in place. IMG_20180516_200104754.jpg

I'm working on getting things roughed in but it seems like there's a lot of interference on the shock and the spring IMG_20180522_194107594.jpg

You gotta turn up the heat a bit for those welds to hold.

  25. I have melted a clamp like that before as well. Get a bunch of cheap Chinese vice grip knock offs to start with, then look for good old c-clamps, used is great pick up one at a time till you have dozens, never too many clamps. What kind of welder are you using?
