Got a chance to grab these motors . 53 331 , 64 413 , 65 dodge 318 , 66 Plymouth 318 . Unknown 360 . It's 225 miles away 4 hours each way . I'm real busy but could steal the time if I had to . Anything there really worth getting . About $100 each but might be able to package it . The 331 and the 413 are apart but all there . 318s suppostately run . Thanks , Richard

331 for $100 is a total steal if it still good, typically 7-800. Really not bad for the rest either. The 318s are "A" Ploys will bolt up to modern S/B trannys w/o an adaptor.

The 413 would be cool for an S/S build.....

sounds like a good deal for someone who needs some motors to get old mopars running. But I wouldn't have any use for any of them, unfortunately.

What do you want with them? If you want a bunch of nostalgia projects go for it. If you want good motors forget it. If you want to flip them for cash the 331 may be worth it.

All were good motors in their day, all obsolete now. The hemi is a hemi. The others are just motors, except now they are starting to gather some interest as nostalgia motors.

What do you want from us.

Get them. Not everyday a decent motor falls into your lap for $100, let alone 4

Thanks everyone for the input . Only reason I was heading there mostly was the 331 but it is the extended bell I believe ?? It's apart and the guy says it's good , the 413 has a scratch in the cylinder but will clean up . His words so I assume the 331 is clean . I can take whatever I want and leave the rest . I don't need them , I already have collected a bunch of desoto hemis . Just picked up a 354 but havnt opened it to see if it's good . It's become an addiction that is starting to consume all my space . Thanks again , Richard

The 354 is a better engine than the long tail 331. Cheaper to build. I'd rather run any of the 4 than a Chevy.....

Seems pretty simple, if your going to spend the day driving and have the room to store the engines for a while and have cash on hand, get them all, sell what you don’t want to pay for what you do want. Bones

Just unloaded everything , I might have confused you George , it's a 1954 331 4bbl . In great shape , guy had everything soaking in oil ( messy ) . Looks like it could be re ringed , bearings and gaskets . 413 needs a bore , now that I have everything for the two engines I want ( 276 desoto and either the 354 or 331 Chrysler ) I'll be starting to gather up the rest to sell . Reason I posted was I wasn't sure if it was worth the trip ( considering the guy thought it was a 53 extended bell ) worked out good . Rusty O tool asked what I wanted from everyone . Guess at first I was looking for a " don't waste your time , don't you have enough engines " the others are still available if someone is looking for the early 318 or 360 .

Yup, mis-read it. The '54 331 is about as good as the '55. If your 354 is a car engine it will be a little cheaper to build & has more cubes, other than that either would be good.

Came out of a New Yorker , 413 came out of imperial . Guy was an engine horder ( small time ) . As soon as I figure out pictures I'll post some , there is a few of them and parts . We have 2 swap meets locally coming up , I'll miss the big one cause I'm real busy but I plan on trying to sell off items that I don't need . Thanks again everyone
