If there is any shop capable of doing that car as it should, that car found the right home. Yeah, it's only "original" once, but that one deserves to have every part restored to it's show car state of the day. Looking forward to seeing this one in person. Dollars to Donuts it shows up at the L.A. Roadster Show and a few other SoCal events. Congrats to Mr. Ladd and yourself for having the opportunity to bring this one back to glory!
" Custom by Schifano ". This was Greg Schifano, when I was a kid, he was one of the go to upholsterers in the Pasadena / Arcadia area. Went to his shop a few times.

Great find! So this was running around Pasadena at the same time Paul Horning had the '32 Roadster that later became Gray Baskerville's? I'll have to ask a local guy that grew up there back in those days. Bob
I was 9 when this was parked in '61. I just sent my older brother (12 yrs older & a Pasadena hot rodder ) pictures of the car. I'm hoping he'll have some input.
Fantastic resurrection under way here. The Helmet on the seat, the ash tray full, maps and other things on the seat...I see one mans life with the Hobby parked, doors closed...hang up the keys...walk away...goodbye it was fun while it lasted...I feel that here... If I was the former owner I would find some comfort in knowing what was done would be given the respect it deserves in its new presense. Have fun with these even though they are not yours yet per say......and seriously thanks for sharing... @cretin
What an awesome find, with that big Olds in there they didn't cut the firewall. the fan looks like it is directly over the front cross member in the photo, they must have had the radiator & grill shell mounted further forward than stock.
Good observation. I was actually looking at that today. The fan is right over the crossmember. He still needs to go back and get the grill and hood, which was stored off the car. Cars like this need to be seen by modern day Hot Rodders. It is a classic example of how to build a car today, style wise. It would be a crime to remove the rear bumper.
Thank you for sharing Cretin. Amazing find! I live next door in Glendale. Similarly, I am reviving a Survivor show rod that was built the late 50’s. The hoses on your Blue 32 look white-ish in color and strikingly similar to early photos of the hoses that were once in my car, shown below. Could you please tell me the brand and/or part numbers on your fuel hoses if you're able to read them? Also, can you tell me if the hoses are white, faded black, or just dusty? Thanks a ton for any insight you can provide!

Great find!! Like Pete Eastwood, I grew up in Pasadena in the '50s and '60s, but don't remember this coupe. But I do know Shiffano's upholstery, that's where I got the top done for my roadster...It was in Arcadia, near or on Foothill.
From his obituary, he was an accountant in LA , more important to your search , his Brother Bob lives in Flagstaff Arizona. Somebody must have his other belongings, probably includes photos and magazine articles if it was ever featured.
