Several hours in this melding of several elements here and
I was pretty happy with the outcome...The Boss thought it was kinda cool as well...

Ryan is giving some thought to a father/son adventure to sell Hamb
merchandise at venues and it was suggested I may be able to whip something up by
DDDenny...I think he was thinking Milk Truck kinda sorta but I thought to use one of his current
    drivers and there ya go...;).

The early B/W photo says Phil and Keith White. The later 1958-60 (est) film has no readable markings or names.

    Hello,

In the early movies I took at Lions Dragstrip, many unusual cars were built and raced during this time. The radical chop made it stand out, along with the bright orange paint. I have a short movie clip that I took back in 1959 or 60 at Lions Dragstrip in a one-time shot. We never saw the car again later on in our visits to Lions. I have been waiting and searching all over for some information on the altered.

The website on Altereds has no idea what kind of car or any information on the build. If anyone has any information, (other than Phil and Keith White) directly about the build, please let me know ASAP. Thanks...

For now, here is the short film that I took of the U2 at Lions Dragstrip.

My brother and I liked Altered Class racecars, with the way they were modified for the drags. Our first love was the street legal Gas Coupe and Sedan Class race cars. But, we did talk a lot about building some kind of Altered as our next project, similar to the red, Rasner/Reath Fiat or the Jim Miles, red, 34 Ford coupe. Those were two, hot, Altered coupes in these early times of drag racing. The two Altereds were built by a couple of older, local racers and had more experience, so we had a long road ahead. One even went to our old high school in Long Beach.

  21. (Philo426) I was thinking the same thing. Like the P-40 Flying Tigers. Here's another metal sculpture from the Carlisle swap meet. It does have a mouth. Also if you look closely, it has a frog in it's throat! Lol Ron [IMG]

Brake light for the A. Purchased from O'Briens, made bracket for mounting, a little polishing and paint detail.
