I've played with the idea, just not sure if I like what I have come up with idea wise.

I prefer to build a car over buying one, it feels like it's yours and to take car and make it something completely different is pretty rad. I'm really enjoying the process, I think if I bought a dome car id get bored of it and have to start cutting it up haha!!!

I have been so busy with customers car I couldn't make time for mine but last night I got to play a little bit and fit the rockers I got from my buddy metal union. This will greatly speed things up, I have also started working on the front suspension and getting the car ready for media blasting. [IMG][IMG]

Decided to mock up the quarter skin to see how it looks on the car, I can say it sure doesn't look like a 4 door sedan anymore. [IMG]

Runningboards have some great curves to them, everything is falling into place. Bob

  9. Why would it look like a 4dr sedan? How could it?
With Out standing skills , some correct parts, and something to look at for details and inspiration you've made yourself a clear path to a convertible.

Borrowed my buddies 38 zephyr decklid so I can make a buck off of it. The 39 decklid I was originally using is different then 38 and want to make sure it's correct. I also got the original 4 door front door deskinned split and in place to start hanging the door skins. [IMG][IMG]

Unless it is a wrap, wouldn't it be cool to chrome plate the entire car?Not possible, I think!

I want to do a very light cannery yellow, white top, light brown leather interior and some 16" or 17" skinny wide white white bias plies.

Haven't had much time to work on the 38 project and the time I've made I've put into working on my 40 Zephyr coupe chop. I'm now really excited because I'm in the process of building myself a power hammer and to further my knowledge and shaping capabilities. IMG_20180506_172243_125.jpg

It's been awhile since I have posted on here, got side tracked with building tooling. Here's a update on where it's at, I got the suspension in and put the car down for the first time, I started making inner structure panels and hope to start getting things welded in soon. 20180824_130758-01.jpeg 20180824_134639.jpeg
