We lost another member yesterday, J.B. Hoffman, better known around here as Willowbilly3. He was a self proclaimed tin magnet, he saved no telling how many old cars, trucks, and parts from the crushers. He was also a junk artist, he could take just about anything and turn it into art, winning several awards for his efforts. His roadster pickup was pieced together from a pile of different make parts he acquired over the years. He had a fond love for the "refrigerator" 1959 and 1960 Ford trucks, his last one a lwb 4wd with a Y block. His name came from when he lived in Alaska, he said he felt like a hillbilly, but there wasn't any hills, only the willows by the river banks.
    RIP my friend.

He will be missed. He was also a regular over on the Ford Truck Enthusiast Exchange (FTE). He was a true car guy and talented artist. RIP.

Sad to hear this, I never met him, but our paths must have crossed at least once, I have family in Willow Alaska, where he used to live, and I visit there very often over the years. The place just is not big enough not me meet most if not all of the residents at least once.

I was reading a thread and he had just got a 36 Coupe his big dream come true and then found out shortly after that that he had leukemia and sold it. Now I am not sure if that was what took him from us but that may have been...sorry the C word sucks but can be beaten but many times it cannot. RIP WillowBilly3.

After a stay in Minneapolis for treatment he returned home. The doctors said he didn't respond to the treatment and there was nothing more they could do for him. He displayed a heroic attitude about his remaining days. Spent time driving his truck. He was a good man.

Sad. I know he'd talked about a roadtrip last year on FTE. Don't know how that worked out.
