Wow! That started out as a patch work quilt but by the looks of the pictures it will end up like some fine silk sheets.
    Nice job so far!

This thread reads like a fine revival! You sent the tin-fleas into hiding! Thanks Clark!

Agree with Jimmy B, build a tub out of the leftovers. Or a long-door roadster pickup.

  4. Hey Clark...if it makes you feel any better the only part of my 34 body I was able to use was the top...everything else came from friends, HAMB ads, local guys or word of mouth parts...Doors from Florida, cowl from central Nebraska, quarters from Oregon, rockers from Indiana...
The top needed to be lengthened because of the chop [pieces came from California] and filled because the insert surround had been torched out. I feel your pain.

Making some headway. Back of the top is looking pretty good. You may be able to see the back window has been moved down 20180413_203145.jpg

I think it comes down to one's lack of abilities plus his lack of morality proven by his dumping it on an unsuspecting soul for too much money! My feelings is that they deserve to be outed when they commit fraud!

Just read through the whole thread.
Those first pictures made me nauseous.
I can only imagine the poor guy in the blaster's helmet as the mud came off. "Those guys are going to KILL ME and I didn't do it!"
Really like that you guys are able to find the parts needed and have the skill to bring this one back.
That rear window really looks great aligned at the bottom!

You are an amazing friend for helping him out with that. You are obviously a class act. Thank god there are folks around like you that have the skills to pull that off. if I ended up with something like that I would never be able to fix that. In to the corner of the garage it would go never to be seen again.

Got this corner of the roof done. Had to fill the roof....but I put a recess in it to put a top insert in. The top will need blasted when I get the metal work done.
I threw the pic of what the other guy did just for fun.

Great work, seeing the reminder shot of the effed up mess that you started with makes it all the more impressive!

I can imagine the person that messed that up is trying to be very small, quiet, and invisible right now. I hope he feels awful.

You Clark, on the other hand, you are incredible! Nice save!
