Indeed. So, what's the point of jacking it up if the engine sits so low?

Easiest way is to drive it on at the uphill location and drive it off at the bottom. Logging operations would have had sufficient lift / cranes to hoist the truck up and onto the log rails at the loading point, too, ifn necessary. Gary

    Hey G,
Ed Garlits then, Ed Garlits during a 1960 West Coast road trip... Lions Dragstrip 1960.

    Jnaki

This movie was taken in the pits and when I was able to sneak around the tower next to the white ambulance. I was able to get a few more shots of other cars before some guy yelled at me to get the &^$% out of there. Very close to the action...hearing loss for sure.
upload_2018-4-15_16-55-26.png [IMG] A primo photo location, but quite dangerous. (next to the white ambulance.)

  15. This looks like Lynn, Massachusetts at the elevated train platform. Can anyone confirm this?

I thought I would add some of my vintage shot's to the mix. So I will add a few for the next few days of dirt racing in mostly Tulsa, Muskogee and OKC. These photos were taken buy me(Photographer for Tulsa Speedway for 30 years.) from mostly 1966 to 1971. vintage racing pics for the hamb 005.JPG vintage racing pics for the hamb 006.JPG vintage racing pics for the hamb 007.JPG

  20. anybody know if the seat on this car rises as it moves forward? if you study ALL the proportions, it looks like she could almost work the pedals with the seat in that position. but her shoulders are only even with the window sill and her arms would be reaching up in the "10 and 2" positions. i doubt she could shift into 2nd without awkwardly leaning forward........ then there is the how does this buckle work position. front_seats.jpg
