I have your average Holley fuel pressure regulator and I tried to run fuel line and it's too loose and the line itself can move in and out. As in it doesn't seal.

Is there a special line that I need? I don't want to run AN fittings.

    Thanks!

Ok.... So what does the fitting look like you are trying to screw into it? That takes 3/8 pipe fittings... They make barbed fittings that fit for 5/16 and 3/8 fuel hose.... Ace Hardware, Lowe's, even auto supplies.

    It's just a standard 3/8 fuef line.

Those look like 3/8 NPT. Pipe thread, not meant to screw a fuel line fitting into. You mention “fuel line moving in and out”, sounds like you need an NPT adaptor to tubing fitting adaptor of some description.

  7. Sounds like you need a 3/8 NPT to 3/8 flair nipple

Agreed, 3/8 npt on the outlet ports, but it’s 1/2 npt on the inlet port on the bottom. I have used those regulators for years.

Carry an extra...for me they have been known to fail. Replaced with one from Aero Space Industries.......no more failures.

  12. Mine is made for a 3/8 line. I suppose you could use an AN fitting, I am just using hose barbs on mine and a little stub of flex line. It makes it easy to plumb and also serves as a vibration damper.

This is mine, Holley 12-841 I think. 3/8 NPT inlets and outlets, I went the other way and converted NPT to AN fittings
