Thanks. Picture didn't upload. Next is either scoops on the rear quarter panels or grille surrounding

Thanks. Liking your build too. You have a cool approach to your build. Looking forward to your next build as it looks like your about to rap this one up.

Trying to get ready for Boston World of Wheels, in about a month.
I went a little crazy on the Trunk, and will post Pics on the Build Thread tomorrow.
Last big thing is Clear-Coating the body. Hood and Trunk are done.
    Wish me luck!

Well I went ahead a chopped the chevy. I did a mild chop. 2" in the front and 2.5" in the back. This coming weekend I hope to start welding it up if its not raining we will see.

This is the plan as of now. Finish Chop, put scoops on rear quarters and I'm thinking of 55 Packard head lights that way the lights, b pillars and scoops all have the same slant or lean. Sorry about the crude photo shop job but it works for my vision. sidecarfinal[2123].jpg

I like it. Have you thought of asking for a rendering over on the PhotoShop thread? They're a talented and generous bunch!

Yep! Just post a good pic or two over there and tell them what you want. They can even add paint, wheels and tires, and paint it if you give them direction.

You can then share the results here!

Got a little more done yesterday. I welded in the a pillars and tacked the rear window in. Hopefully these next two weeks I can knock some more out. Also Moose worked his magic with photo shop for me.

So I rolled up and fitted one of the sail panels. Hopefully I can weld it in tomorrow. Life has been busy. I cut tabs on the sail panel and flanged them under the roof to get panel flush. After I tack weld it in place I will cut the tabs off. I used a radius gauge to help with rolling the panel so the line of sight looks right.

Thanks. So far its been pretty easy. I take my time and try not to rush. Hopefully in the next two weeks the back half will be done. Driver side sail panel is almost rolled out. Just needs a little more rolling.

In one entry, you state "not much" was done, but that's the way it is with building a car: A little here; a little there. The modifier is able to "see" the finished product although others cannot visualize it. Few people like Moose also "see" the unfinished car. I envy your skills. Keep up the great work.

First, super work. And now to my 50's Chevy business coupe story: picked one up with a Nova clip and sbc that was pretty decent metal wise but had to store it at a remote lot. Thieves made it disappear like an ice cube in the sun but the real unique one was even though it sits just 6 inches from the side of a 52 Buick someone stole the drivers door USING WRENCHES. When asked if I'd have the guy prosecuted I said "hell no" I'd hire him.

Very true. They don't get built over night. Moose does a mighty fine job at vision part.

Sorry to here that. A family friend had his car stolen and ten years later he was work and seen it parked in some ones driveway and got it back.
