Hello friends, You read that correctly. The Stray Cats are reuniting and performing at the VLV Car Show. Also on the lineup are Jerry Lee Lewis, Duane Eddy, & Mitch Polzak. There will be a traditional Hot Rod display, Gasser display, Dragster display, legendary automotive artist display, and much more. Vist www.vivalasvegas.net for more info.
Sounds like a great line up for an awesome weekend!!! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I looked at the Website and it's not real clear on the Saturday Hot Rod pass. Will the headliners such as the Stray Cats be playing outside on the stage or inside where it takes a VIP pass to see them?
If you go into the searchable schedule, you'll see that Hot Rod Lincoln, Duane Eddy, Jerry Lee and Stray Cats are playing on the Car Show Stage on Saturday. Stray Cats last band on stage (bet that will piss off Jerry Lee ) So, much better acts on inside in the halls during the weekend that at the car show
Man, Jerry Lee is before my time; but I remember when the Stray Cats were new stuff, tolerated only because it was loud, and the guy could shred a solo.
Been a fan since '83... stoked to finally catch them live! First time hitting Viva as well. Two bucket list items in a single weekend! Well, three if you count looking into the Grand Canyon a few days prior. ;-)
What a comeback, not an upset, it's the bands.......do you know where your parents are.....tonight. Hope you guys like the play on some words from a good movie.
'Sup Murph! Haven't seen you here lately (or anywhere for that matter)! You still beating animal skins with sticks?
My car is in the show, so I get to see the bands like it was a drive-in movie! Lookin’ forward to it, oh yeah!
My wife and I are going. Roadtrippin' all the way from Seattle. Been to about five of these events. Great times. About a square acre of all sorts of period correct cars. Gonna hit the Shelby Car Headquarters and Museum in downtown Vegas. FREE to visitors.
Went to Vegas last year for the first time had a blast going to the Round Up this year for the first time cant wait
Wish I could go this year. Went last year and had fun. I learned a few things I would do differently next time. I won't fly next time- I want to drive. But from Alabama, LV is kind of a long haul. Always wanted to see the Stray Cats- this is a hard one to miss! And Jerry Lee Lewis- guy can't have too many more shows left in him. The Killer is awesome. Hope to be there next year.
Hey Brett, long time no see! Hope you have been well. Yep, still drumming with Straight 8s and my surf band El Mirage. Any other dos/don'ts or insider tips from VLV regulars? We've got tickets for Saturday and hoping there's a way to get into Deke Dickerson's Guitar Geek show at midnight, without having to pay for a Sunday wristband. Read about a new tiki bar called The Golden Tiki... hope to spend some time there and at Frankie's over the course of the weekend. Just added the Shelby Car HQ to the list of stops (thanks, Jon).
Attention everyone. This news just came in from Tom Ingram. For the first time in VLV history, it is SOLD OUT. This includes tickets to walk in to the Car Show as well as trying to put a car in the event. Thanks, Axle
Hi, Hi, your car show ticket will only allow you to get in to the car show. You can, however get in to the casino bar area. Take care
Thanks, Axle, appreciate the clarification. At least my inner procrastinator was on vacation a few weeks back when I bought Hot Rodder tickets. We literally planned the whole trip around the chance to see The Stray Cats. Would have been brutal to miss out. Congratz on selling out the show! -murph
Dang, I waited too long to get car into the show and now I see the tickets for the Saturday only event are sold out Have fun yall!
