Great story Father Cochran in more ways than one...Nice Hotrod pick... a well deserved honor to the recipient. Your son took a fantastic round of pics. He has a really good eye for detail, focus, what floats around here and a good handle on interesting that's for sure... Life is good...
You're a very lucky man Mr. Cochran! Great set of photos, my favorite is the last one, with the photographer's skinny legs and sneakers reflected in the door.
Great write-up Ryan! I missed coming down to the round-up this year but have travel down from mass many times for it and have always found ways to keep the trip fresh, so I enjoyed this very much so! Looking forward to the trip next year.
Miller does indeed have a good eye. Nice coverage.... Not to mention he is the spitting image of his ol' man.
Don't ever miss a day with your kids...... if you miss one - you missed it and you don't get it back. Your kids - happy smiles and healthy....most important. Glad you had a enjoyable day. Great pics - good taste Miller !
That's awesome Ryan. It's amazing that Miller looks so much like you. And it's a blessing that Presley and Juno do not. LOL. I remember when Presley was still in diapers. My how she has grown. Miller has a great eye. He did a great job on the coverage. Good job dad.
You obviously are enjoying the ride. Most of us spend too much time worrying about time and what if's. I think Miller has a future in photography. Stay aware and enjoy the time, trust me it will fly by.
Cool story, great pics - yes, amazing how fast time flies and things change Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You know us old guys have a good chuckle when you younger studs make admissions like those. And you've more revelations to come..............enjoy the journey. You picked a worthy ride, but I was hoping you might pick that sweet, patina-ed '32 five window that came down with the gang from Minn (or was it Wi? a memory is a terrible thing to lose)
I pulled my youngest out of school to go to a Hot Rod show as well. You can go to school any time. Man we had a good time, even though we froze half to death on Saturday. Miller took a lot of the same pictures that I did. He also found some cars I didn't! That boy of yours has a discerning eye.
The only way to pass the torch is to show them the light. How can they get the bug if they aren't exposed to it? My Dad took me everywhere, that is how I got the disease....which luckily there is no cure for. And Miller does have a good eye.. those shoebox Fords are especially nice.
Glad you were able to enjoy this one a little more than previous ones. Miller took some great shots. Thanks for posting!
Great to see that the kiddos are interested and involved at an early age. All three of my kids grew up going to car shows with my first born going to to the first rod run I ever went to (spectator) in 1971 in Waco. I like Miller's photos, good eye for nifty cars there. I'd think it won't be long before we see his photo threads from events your family attends.
Miller has a great eye, the photos he took are top notch! You have a beautiful trio of children, you are blessed! Now just buy him socks with better elastics! KK
We stopped by the booth Friday and picked up some shirts. You were out, but Marcie was there with the kids, sitting calmly in a chair with a smile while the kids handled business. Professional, polite and happy as clams they were....delights. Good job Dad and Mom! ....oh, and I agree with everyone else....Miller's got a great eye.
On the jalopy journal pick: Yeah I kept coming back to it in photos. There’s just something about it that’s just right. A subtle shift of proportions, the textures and finishes. Couldn’t quite place it which makes it all the more better. Good pick On Millers photos: Great shots. What I had to chuckle about to myself is that is very much reminds me of your stuff from the early days of the Journal and Hamb. The angles, the cars, and the flames. He’s yours for sure. Great coverage, thanks
