[IMG] this thing was buried in 20’ of bush. Had to cut down all the trees. Move a 30’ pile of steel and get it out. Paid a $100 for it and sold it for $500. Spent 8hrs don’t think it was worth my time haha

  5. RUSTY1 It's a 40 Chevy pickup, and it looked solid. Said to make offer.:) This 41 Olds is sitting in the woods near Stanley Va. It's rough but it's probably a freebie.;) [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Damn, I could probably use parts from that! My wife and I are looking at properties in NC right now (wife is visiting daughter in Durham and looked at a piece of land in Cedar Grove today!) and we will be moving there in about three years. Can't wait to cruise the back roads looking for rusty gold!

That's OK, I have a 47 and I'm guessing there are a few things that will interchange.

  14. I would like to have a 59 or1960 389 mill. My 55 GMC 287 stick shift bell and flywheel would work on it.

Saw this wagon the other day while getting rid of some scrap metal at the recycle yard.
The ChevyII was at an old salvage yard 20180323_124849.jpg 20180323_124830.jpg 20180219_125650.jpg

1957 Studebaker??? Looks like a really solid wagon. Perhaps an abandoned project??? Sure hope it doesn't get scrapped.

  19. This 55 GMC was setting and rotting in my hoard until yesterday. My 4 year old grandson and I put tires on it and fired it up and drove it around to the shop. Its very rusty in the cab floors. I do have a 59 dump truck cab that is very solid. There is a potential buyer coming to look at it this week. Ive got too many projects. this truck has a strong running original 287 Pontiac mill. The last picture is on the solid 59 cab. 1955 GMC 016.JPG 1955 GMC 017.JPG 1955 GMC 032.JPG 1955 GMC 019.JPG 1955 GMC 023.JPG 1955 GMC 024.JPG 1955 GMC 022.JPG 1955 GMC 026.JPG

  20. Although quite similar, this is a 1956 Studebaker Champion Pelham Wagon The grille is considerably different on the 1957 models. My dad owned one of these in the white over Seafoam Green paint scheme.

In case anyone else is getting a broken PB link:

I spotted this one in the yard of an abandoned property on Walnut Ave. in Pasadena thirty years ago:

The others were a base model '56 Hawk (no fins) and an early Lark. Don't know if they got saved, but the property was scraped clean - house and all - shortly after. I watched for them in the nearby Pick-A-Part but no luck.

  22. I saw these along side the road. Both were for sale. KINDA ROUGH though.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
