  4. This has been gone for some time now, it had a '55 Chevy to keep it company. It could have been mine, for $500.

  5. Its a Ford. Can't tell if its a Fairlane, Custom, or Mainline, but judging from the lack of a backup light, I think its a 1955

It’s sleeping peacefully under the soft green blanket at my Uncle’s farm. I remember when it came to stay with him in the early 70’s as a parts car for his ‘56 T-Bird project. It was a pretty clean car back then!

Here are a few more shots...

I wonder what's left of it under all that moss?

Looks like a 2 door sedan. Has a 56 license plate, too. Should clean off the moss, wake it up, and see if it's a builder, rather than let it sit and rot.

The very wet side of the PNW, where everything rots, rusts, molds, mildews, corrodes, and otherwise dissolves right before your very eyes...

I moved to drier climates about 20 years ago and love that my tools don’t rust in the shop, and aluminum engine bits don’t corrode like an old battery terminal right in the garage!

I was going to say that to grow moss you need water. To grow moss as thick as what's on that car you would need a LOT of water. If you cleaned that off I bet there is not much left of the car underneath...and that's a shame. '56 Fords are cool cars.

  16. that 56 looks like it hasn't melted into the ground. maybe it wasn't driven on salty roads in the winters? if it was a tri five chevy it would be a viable project. It seems the old fords don't get the same demand. Ive got a running 55 2 dr wagon. and its priced at 3 grand. and don't sell because of rusty floor pans. if it was a chevy I would sell for twice that much. 1955 ford ranch wagon 001.JPG 1955 ford ranch wagon 002.JPG 1955 ford ranch wagon 003.JPG

  17. Sounds kind of like Eureka CA. I forgot about a bag of dry dog food in my trunk one winter and found it had turned into a foul smelling white hairy lump twice its original size.

  20. I spotted this one on my way to the Charlotte Auto fair. The garage looked abandoned. I'd like to see it saved. Kinda COOL! I wish that I'd took the time to get the story on it.;) RON....[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Someone better save that 58 Olds and 49 Buick before the garage completely collapses!

If that is the house on the left side of the photo, there seems to be a theme going...

  28. There's a lot of vintage cars still out there. I'm finding them all the time. I took these photos of a 60 Pontiac Friday. The owner said it could be bought CHEAP! It's near Charlotte N.C. A 389 and looked in pretty good shape. PM me if you would like to save her. RON...[IMG][IMG]
