I picked up this 1959 impala convertible this fall in Saskatoon Saskatchewan and was wondering if anyone had any info on the car.

Ran the vin number and car was sold in Vancouver bc with a 283 and auto.

Currently the car has an early 60’s nailhead. All the chrome on the front and rear had been filled with brass. Hood scoop. White tuck and roll interior. 57 Belair steering wheel. Frenched antenna. And Jc Whitney taillights. Old decals on quarters and firewall.
Any help from old BC rodders would be great!!!

Eff what the lowrider guys think! And I think the Nailhead makes this '59 even more cool than it is.

About as ruff as they come but still a 59 ragtop, tough to find for sure.

I have a Buick 401 in the garage awaiting some attention so I can put it in my 59 El Camino. One of these days.

  13. Nice to see the car getting some attention and being brought back. Sad that someone let it get to such a deteriorated condition.

Interesting! I wouldn't call it rough, by my standards it's damn decent, looks like you could open both doors up and it wouldn't collapse in on itself. I'm guessing by the woodgrain and quarter panel callouts the custom work was done in the 70's. Good score!

Fix floors and structural rust and paint match the other spots and keep it with the patina and drive it. Put in a 283 glide in it

Awesome shot with the Esso in the background. The dash-pad might be JC Whitney too. The bow tie decals on the quarters was an early 70's thing, right? Some machine you got'cha there.

It has some pin holes on the drivers side. But nothing scary like I’ve seen on others.

I registered the car in the gm heritage program and it said it was bought in Vancouver. I bought the car in Saskatoon this fall.

Wow!!!This is the sweetest thing here on the hamb in years!!I like Your plans of keeping it in its "hot rodded" state (as opposed to restoring it). Would You be able to have that dash pad reupholstered? That looks awesome!!
