The above photos are from Snyder, TX. The large sign in the shape of Texas used to hang on their bank. So glad it was saved. They are displayed in the building that houses the Development Corporation of Snyder. There’s a square around the center of town. Most businesses are closed. It’s a shame. I could only imagine it in the hey day.

Last day for the “push” to Austin. Driving in the van is like riding a horse you haven’t ridden in a while. Your butt hurts for a while, and then it doesn’t. We stopped at some “antique” stores. I think they took liberty with that word because to me it looked like a hoarders garage. Did find some great “picks” along our journey and FINALLY made it to Austin. I forgot how much I DON’T miss tons of people and traffic.

I'm lovin the electric and neon signs. I was the sheet metal shop foreman at California Neon products in San Diego. Best job I ever had as a tinner. My favorite job was building channel letters. Keep the pics coming. Thanks.

Just wondered if you had the same experience we had driving the back roads of Nebraska and Iowa.There would be a road and sign pointing off to some small town and all you could see above the trees was the town water tank and the "Golden Arches". They were everywhere.
