I know a guy who tried something like this using a 36 ford roof. in the end what he did was took a buildable 26 T coupe body and destroyed it, and charged the owner a bundle to do it.

I'd say bjaro does not need any help. just pointing out a similar idea that did not work well due to a lack of talent and vision.

Love what your doing ! I would run a belly pan ,from the roof of a 1940s sedan or coupe to get that lanky body of your inside ! ( what a screamer ! ) any one close by who might have a free roof skin ?

Too bad you are so far away. You could see it in person May 4th and 5th in Dubuque. It is scheduled to be a feature car at Vintage Torquefest.

Dana and Patti Mecum own it unless it’s recently been sold. It’s in Wisconsin.

I had the pleasure of being in the race car garage at his house. The Calori coupe was in the driver garage. I believe the Chrisman coupe was down at his office at the time. A crazy experience I will likely never have again. I got invited to help return the 1923 Indy 500 winner to the race car garage after our show a couple years ago.

The mating of two old friends...;)...thats a cool shot as at 1rst I did not notice the mirroring of the two.

I take it and hope the other side is similar. and if yes I suppose it will take top shelf and being the bottom will require trimming around components may lessen repair to the rusted hood.

The raw simplicity is fun to watch.

Thank you for posting your project and the progress of it . Also the searching for parts and the people you meet along the way stories. That adds to the project fun and history.

After the first couple of pages, I thought, this guy is nuttier than I am! But by page 9, I'm a believer. Wish we lived closer to each other. I'd be there every day!
