I profess not to be a good car spotter so my great mystery is I'm unable to find any photo proof on the internet of a Trunk Latch to match what I see on my dads 1938-39-40 Ford, believed to be a Deluxe Tudor Sedan. Was this latch a one-year-only design? I'm very curious. Thanks for the help.

  2. Looks like a regular '39 latch; but the picture seems shaky with lines doubled

That light/reflector above the latch, is that a real component of the latch or a custom idea that looks standard in the assembly?

o_O Since the license plate is mounted above it I’d say that it was a regular license plate light.

Forget the trunk handle, I want some of that double-ribbed side trim!

38 had the plate mounted above the light. 38 size trim is not double ribbed
