    You're right, Thompson's left arm was shorter than his right. His car owner, Bruce Bromme made that steering wheel for him.

    Don "Duck" Collins built it in 1958, Desoto power. Duck had it at his shop until he died, around 2003. Del bought it from the estate, and quickly got it back running, and put Palmer Crowell in the seat for some vintage races. Palmer was replaced by Donnie Nelson, and they went to some paved mile ovals and had some good times.
