WAC are you saying you are going to build a front clip to sell for an early Nova?
Hope so cause I'm getting ready to gasser up a 62 Nova and really like your craftsmanship.

I now offer a bolt in upgrade to your speedway axle that comes with your BZRods front Nova clip. This one was made 48" (2"+) and gets a 2" .312 moly tube

Can you or someone else give me a short schooling on why you would run a dropped axle instead of a straight and visa versa? One with a "smile"? Is it purely aesthetics? I realize the dropped axle has the potential to lower the car some, is that the only reason? All this would pertain to a '57 Chevy 150 gasser type. Thanks & great axle porn by the way!

Cause in 62' when I had mine made a dropped tube axle was a touch of class for your gasser

Plus I wanted my 37' to set level, then with the light front end and 90-10 shocks it would raise off up the line and be back level through the lights when it is most important to have your not trying to fly

I got the privilege of making up this cool 40" Tubed I-beam axle that will find a new home under a Anglia in Australia

Just found this thread. Excellent craftsmanship! Hope you have the nova clip soon. I'd like to do a dropped tube setup in my 64.

Did you ever get things figured out on making the axle with the smile in it?

Agreed on the job you are producing. Never going to by a Speedway axle again.

No real news on the nova clip. Fortunately I been very Busy making axles.

I have been eye balling the nova and I think I will also make a kit that uses the stock frame rails for the guys looking for that real vintage look.

New spring mounts for a buggy spring.
It’s always fun to reproduce a new HD version on a cool old axle

It’s going to be chromed like the old one so I cut all the brackets on the CNC to make it easy to prep for chrome

Old axle 13/4 thin wall tube
New axle 2” .312 wall moly tube [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I need to make you up a set of spring mounts that holds the spring in front of the axle right
