Event Coverage Just a couple of Packards...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by kiwijeff, Mar 26, 2018.

  1. A buddy rang after work to say he saw some old Packards outside the Ashley Motel on his way home from work.
I almost forgot about it, as I was eating, so the sun was going down by the time I got there.
I snapped a few pics, but didn't go out the back of the Motel, where there was quite a few more.
This one was hiding out the back, and my favourite.

Cool! Understand why we call the rear storage compartment a trunk!

Thanks for the pics, lots of nice Packards there. I gather that the NZ Packard club is on a club run. Where are you located? North, South, town?

  16. I think you may find that the first Packard pictured is owned by a very well known Hot Rodder / X Drag Racer / x Bonneville racer that now lives in Central Otago.

  17. Swiftly, I'm in Greymouth on the South Islands West Coast.

I've since heard that the Warbirds annual Show down in Wanaka is on this coming weekend, and there is a Packard do happening there at the air show.

  18. That had to be the coolest Packard there, at least for me, and it was hidden out the back.
