Hi Mike, you won’t have any problems rebuilding one of these. Once you get into it, you’ll find its pretty basic stuff.

Great job with the video, Aaron, and thanks again for taking the time to produce them.
Your building up quite a reference library! These videos show details of a project, which probably help those of us who may even be too intimidated to begin! Please keep producing them.

    Thanks Greaser.
Moving along to the motor now. I'm going to try my hand at porting the block. I have the Tardel/Bishop Flathead book and the Thacker/Herman Flathead book for reference. I hope I don't F up the block! Haha.

Been working on the Coupe pretty steady. I have learned I don't like doing porting work, haha!

  11. Another informative post! On your front brakes, do you have part #s for the soft lines? Did you ask for F1 lines or more modern truck lines?

Alright! Took care of all the stuff involved in prepping the crank. First I used drill bits by hand to clean all oil passages, then used stainless steel brushes and parts cleaner to scrub the passages, followed that up spraying the passages with brake cleaner. I installed the four threaded plugs with Loctite, then staked them in two places each. Wiped down the whole thing with preservative oil and wrapped a plastic bag around it to keep it clean and safe. I still have to press on the gear, slinger, and sleeve, but that will have to wait.

I leveled the head and poured metal rescue rust remover in. I’ll let it soak overnight and see how it works.

I've been watching your updates for several months now. I've gotta admit you gave me motivation to go out to the barn and get started on my own car, Thank you!
