As a part of the updates on this engine, I desided to change the timing gears to early style for thrusting towards the block. As Bored&stroked adviced, I bored å small Hole up in the Main oil feed to improve lubrication betveen the cam and block face.

On the last race I managed to break one of the Main caps in the rear end, the Chrysler 8 3/4" could not handle the power from the mighty Flathead ;-) With two New MW mains it should hold, I Hope :-D

As most internals are in place, and With a new box of stuff from the US, it's time to do some external stuff. All the New port nozzles are taped and in place, and New hoses are ready to be pressed. The New AFR logger also arrived DSC_1069.JPG

Latest report. After useing a copper intake gasket With silicone, I was fed up cleaning the surface when we lift the intake off. I have been pondering how to make a new gasket, that seal well and that can be reused without use of liquid sealant. So I desided to use a dur aluminium base 0,7 mm thick, gluing 0,5 mm viton rubber on both sides making a sandwich. Here is the result, Hope it will work B-) DSC_1084.JPG DSC_1081.JPG

Slow progress, but With some smal nicks and nucks the New engine will soon end up in the chassis!

Finally got some done this weekend, the new engine is back in the chassis. Some minor work on wiring of the new boxes and it should be ready to be fired in a week or two ;)
