    door shut
    door open
    seat occupied

  7. That's all stuff in the solid state module. It wants input from everything and wants to control everything.

So far, I haven't been able to fool one of them into working

  15. Like I said earlier, I've not yet been able to fool a seat module into working. As far as I'm concerned you have to go around the module and make the motors work the old fashioned way. Maybe someone else knows how but I do not. Also in the old fashioned way, the switches were complicated polarity reversing units and that's that it was all in the switch. In the new stuff the switches are just simple center off style so you need a complex relay to reverse the polarity.

This is one way on how to control a DC motor that reverses.
There are others as well but this is pretty easy to follow.
    Good for Windows and seats.

You'll need 2 relays for each motor you wish to control by each switch.
Where it gets tricky is when one of them seat switches has a position that controls 2 motors at the same time. Most of the time- if it's wired correctly for each switch then the switch will work the pair of relay automatically.

In this drawing the switches are hot and provide power to the relay's pulling coil, that's ok as long as the wires for the switch are the same size as the wires for the motor. Most of the time I'll set them up so the switches provide the ground to the relay's pulling coil.

I'm trying to replicate this same scenario with these seats in a GM A body Buick. I tried calling the number in this link, but to no avail. I tried looking up the part number for the body side harness of the module, no luck. I'm looking for that plug to use to put power to modules on both sides and use seats. Memory harness, cheap on eBay. [IMG]

I went further back and read the comments. I now have the black with orange left over on passenger side. But black w orange in driver's side goes to memory switch. Left over on driver's side is
Red w/ purple, 2 white, grey w/ blue, black w/brown.
