Yes and the ladder bars are 47 inches long. They’re a little longer than what I wanted but I wanted to have my crossmember for them to also work with my driveshaft loop Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Not to much too show, been stuck finishing up my sisters car for the meltdowns. Currently working on putting the springs under the car Also got measurements for the mid plate most likely gonna have a local metal shop laser cut one for me and that will be next. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Obviously not a Gasser and totally non-SEG compliant, I absolutely love this one. Oh, and the Ranchero is looking good!
You get them springs special or take apart a pack and only using one? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
They are mono leaf springs from a 1st gen camaro they came on the convertible cars Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Love the little SBF stuff! Compression is your friend! Turn the pistons around backward for free HP. Have you put together any "ideas" on the engine? I'll be watching! Maybe see you in Myrtle Beach this June?!! 6sally6
He has been pretty patient on the ranchero build. I have been having him help me finish his sisters 66 dart and we replaced the rear end components on the model a. A couple more weeks and we should be able to concentrate on the ranchero Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I am finishing up my 308 in motor ,but I have a freshly machined 65 289 block that will either be a 297 or if the car drives decent a 334 for C/Gas. I hate the thought of having to add 600 lbs to the car just to make class weight.
Got the motor mounts, transmission crossmember, front end, and mid plate in place. Cage kit should be in within a week. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Cage is about halfway done, at the point where I need too figure out where my seat is going too continue also been working on replacing some rough spots on the car like the rear corners and a few other spots. put in the second driveshaft loop a while back. I have been working on collecting parts slowly but surely. I have a flaming river Vega box that I got off a fellow H.A.M.B. member and have the material coming in too get my steering nearly finished. How did the cage fit? Looks really good from the photos. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The jegs cage fit pretty well. The front down bars go down straight and we’re going too try too get some with a bend in them Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Have been doing a little bit more work on the Ranchero. Cage is pretty well done, seats are mounted in place and steering is partly done once I get some material for the column it will be put in place then next is going to be pedals and narrowing the rear end. All my wheels and tires have been bought so that’s another piece to the puzzle. Everything’s been going well just had a busy summer and spent some time on another project. Sorry for the slow update. Progress is progress, great work, it'll get there! Understand there may be a grudge match brewing, you and a certain El Camino?!
