Hey Bgaro, humor is definately good and so is your vision and build! Kool score on the 40’ hood-check out you PM’s gonna send you something that may help hook up a couple hambers and help you out with the missing link on the pass side....
That is traditional speed and custom in pittsfield nh. My friend Eli603's shop. If you think the shop is cool, u should see the barn!
Please post a few pics I am a stuff junkie. Whenever I see pics of places like that it inspires me to collect some other stuff (Much to my wife's dismay)
@loudbang posted this photo in the altered thread. Even though it's a 5-window (and a later body), it reminded me of your build. Thought you might like to see it:
How's that saying go? 100 pound sack and 200 pounds of.... dude? I love your project. This is a cool car! Keep goin'! Dave
This one is an example of what I mean. But you really should pretty much ignore what I think, I’m not a well-known style guru or anything.
The passenger side has a functioning door. page 3 see link below... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/poor-mans-three-window.1099029/page-3#post-12467865
Well here's my 27 and I widened it 4" and even santa clause doesn't fit in it ,and he can get down a chimney LOL !!!!!
A fairly popular entry level subcompact introduced in the late 1970's by Chevrolet. Over 2.7 million of them were produced during its 10-year lifespan. I'm surprised you aren't familiar with them.
I knew a guy that went through such a bitter divorce, that he parked his "wife's" 67 Ford Failane convertible, with all the options, in the back yard, and let it rot to the ground. I wanted the console really badly for my Comet, and he wouldn't look at, or go anywhere near the car. I guess it was like holding onto and savouring the bitterness. Crappy way to live. Bob
Haha, I just went back to see the first page.... amazing how all those smart assed wise guys have changed their tune. Cool build, glad you're following your vision and not listening to the nay sayers.
mine already exploded from seeing all the deuce grille shells and coupes in your garage the channeled blue 5 window especially
I knew a guy that parked a 66 chevelle, 4 spd, BB car with all the options including air and power window back on a ridge and wouldn't sell it. It was the car him and his wife dated in. Later they divorced and it had rusted to the ground. People are wierd sometimes. Great build, won't be another one like it.
I have no doubt you can do it. At a circus once I saw 10 clowns get out of a car no bigger than that. It's got to be as big as a belly tank. An inline engine would give you foot room all the way to the radiator as long as it's not a GM. They have a lot of stuff on the left side. You could attach the legs of your fire suit to the fire wall and put them on when you get in, kind of like the gloves on a blast cabinet. Sorry man I really do like what you are doing and I know you'll make it work.
