I've got these old carbs I'm trying to identify. They just say "floatless" and "patent pending" no other identifing marks. Any ideas?
Most floatless carburetors were used on aircraft. Without a patent number it would be hard to trace. The ones I have seen were big and bulky.
I think those are the famed "PHISH" carburetors. They got over 650 mpg mileage but the big oil companies bought up the rights to produce them. Soon after, the designer, one Fillipp Phish, disappeared forever. Rumors say he died in a cell in Area 51.
My lawnmower has a floatless carb (small f) . But of course designed super simple to function at one basic level. It would be interesting to get more info about how the automobile variety performed, or in this case, will perform.
