Spent last Sunday at Cornfield Customs with Mike Wagner and Kyle Yocum of Yocumsrodshop taking a metal shaping class... really enjoyed it, and picked up some great pointers... Made a template for cowl corner where it meets windshield corner, and made one while at their class... got started today making the driver side here in garage..

Also spent some time this weekend building a stand from an old axle housing, to put a family hand-me-down anvil on... spent couple of hours grinding on anvil to get flat on top, and point pointier

Worked on a couple of projects this weekend... revisited driver side cowl and lower windshield post, slicing a little in the corner, to lay post out just a bit... starting to get the feeling back of finishing the windshield portion of the chop, and getting the front all buttoned up.. kind of lost my fire there at Christmas, and needed to do something else for awhile..

Also, got front frame horns reshaped, and tacked together

Tacked in a set of box plates, and layed out the holes for the bungs that split bones will attach to...

That frame is awesome. Too bad all your hard work is on the inside and not the outside of the frame.

Looks great. Your work is amazing

Haha that’s exactly what my dad said, Andrew...! Thanks for the good words... I just got carried away, and have to keep on now, to get it to a roller sometime this summer

Got bungs welded in, and worked down, looking good.

Stuck rails back in jig, got front member squared up, and mocked front end up, to get the wishbone lengths cut and fit

Thanks BarrelNose Pickup... I’m kind of all over the place, trying to get a lot of little projects finished, but probably just slowing down overall progress, trying to do too many at once!

I’m looking forward to getting the cad mill together... I’m working on progressive linkage for 4x2, and also am now trying to fit an off model Ducoil distributor to the mix... I’ve also come across a set of 390 heads, and crank, but am trying to resist the urge to open that can of worms for a good while (to get it together first...!!!)

My hope is to get chassis to a roller status, then hop back on the body, and finish chop, fix quarters and wheel wells, redo rockers, and repair a small bit of flooring... with it just being me, it goes super slow it seems

    Deathrowdave,
Very sorry to hear that... I was lost, and slummed around for about 3 weeks, but getting back in garage helped a little bit, to take my mind off things.
Hang in there, best you can... some time will help heal

Did a little mock up today of inner panels, radiator, and grill... found a couple of tight spots, that need attention before I weld in front cross member
