New guy with a 59 Ranchero

    I've been checking this place out for years, mostly for the Friday art stuff. Picked up a 1959 Ranchero about a month ago and just now starting to tear apart.

    Appears to have a 1978 Lincoln Versailles 302 drive train/rear end swap. Had a Chevy 5x5 front disc set up that I’m currently doing the Granada disc, Aerostar spring conversion.

    Looking forward to learning more from the gang here!

    At some point the battery was moved to the bed...

    And I need to figure out how to get these steel plates out.
    Makes me wonder what’s in the spare tire well?

    5ED3D757-E100-44EC-AD4F-8BBDC7BC072D.jpeg Been busy on the front end. Removed the Chevy brake assembly and replaced with Granada discs. Installed the Aerostar springs with new shocks and a front end rebuild kit.

    Welcome! Looks like a great starting point. What are your plans for the build? Kustom? Rod?
