    upload_2018-3-19_4-22-5.png
    Hello,

The late, Lee Bright, from the Prowlers of San Diego, had an accident with his radical, chopped 29 Ford Sedan Delivery. Rather than resting on his laurels, he looked for the next build. Being an avid hot rodder, he began to finish his next car at his shop. It was 40 Ford Sedan Delivery. (a theme, here…this time, to include advertising for his muffler business.)

The finished product was one sedan delivery I could live with forever. My 40 sedan delivery was no where near the detail and finish of this yellow, hot rod. Lee’s yellow delivery had the custom touches in addition to being a daily driver/show car. The gold lettering on the rear, side panel (stood out from the yellow paint) advertised his business. At his shop, he made the headers and muffler system.

The rear belly pan got the intricate, louver design. The dual exhaust pipes ran just below , looking like the tailpipes made for an independent, Jag Rear End. Even though it looked like a Jag Rear End, like his old 29 Sedan Delivery, this time, it was a Ford rear end.

I guess that's whats known as the thin red line. What Color would you feel?...Dark Green, Black...It starts to get color busy but he picked the Color off the engine which is red. Overall this is a stellar vintage build in a modern time. This car was used to make Wescott Fiberglass body molds. (Mother of a lot of offspring...;))

The builder of my Hotrod went with a very dark maroon on the engine, suspension and wheels and I like it very much almost black but not.

I wonder if this fella is a Hamber...sure put a lotta love in it.

Being color blind myself I didn't even notice till you mentioned it. I'm gonna say I'm good.
The wheel covers reduce that to a major degree.

@boo please share some of your Hamb friendly louversmithing as I often refer to it.

Perhaps it has already been without claim or mention. This is not unusual for posting things without mention of who was involved as generally its just random finds of pics that are worth celebrating and appreciating here.

While your at it post some of your grand ole press with such a noble period background.

    We would like that...;)

  26. Thanks Stogy! I laid out the design but didn't punch them personally. The press and shop belongs to a guy named Sean Dowdle in Centreville, MD. This is his site:

You may find some info in the photos if you browse through it.
