53 and 54 were popular as well as those buicks like you posted. I have got something in mind but I need the car here to look at fitment before I say anything that'll bite me arse later.
Here is another 41 coupe I purchased last year, 235 dual carb upgrade, still 6-volt close drive w/ 3.55 rear gears love it!

I know I'll loose a few of you on this but, my mind is set on a couple more radical mods. 37 ford headlights a 4 inch chop. tail lights will get frenched into the fender. seams filled. 3 rib bumpers. satin paint - not satin black. The project begins in 7 days.
My daily driven coupe along side my mates standard sedan use it for 10k miles a year whatever the weather.
There have been many to come and go over the last few years. I keep building the keeper then something else pops up and its time to start over. My 41 Ford went to Germany, The chopped ford went to Vancouver, B.C.. My Oldsmobile gets picked up this weekend and its off to Vancouver too. In the line up of cars you can see my Caliente and Nomad, also gone on their own trail. The 48 Chev is owned by a great friend that met me through an article I wrote for Rat Rodz magazine years ago. He was building a 27 (mouse) Rod. Back then I was building a chopped and channeled 31 coupe in this cool new fashion called , " Traditional". Sure relied on the H.A.M.B. for that one. That one went to Germany as well, then off to Belgium. I really thought I was on my final with the Oldsmobile. Long, sleek, fast and soft like butter. Just needed to do the exhaust and interior, but no, no there had to be one more... just one more! I blame my buddy with the 48. Over the last couple years I've been spending more time with him helping build his car. This is the year we'll have it on the road. It wont look much different than it does in the attached picture. He inspires me with his tenacity for buying the cheapest parts possible. If they're beat up, he'll spend hours fixing them rather than spend a few more buck for something a bit better. By the time we have it on the road by summer he'll have less than $5,000 into it and a car that will be turning heads. It's been the laughs, smoke, exhaust and friendship thats made me build JUST ONE MORE!
That’s what I have. This year may mold them in. I had a forty ford around 35 years ago that was so comfortable with the bench since then around 12 hotrods at 71 years old I got the bench seat back and this the last lol Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Does anyone know if the buick grill divider will fit? I need to find the full grill surround. If not, I'll fabricate something. ~ Never say "last" Rogue...some people will try to hold you to it.
Cabbagetown was a working class or slum area of Toronto from 1850 - 1960. Gentrified in the seventies. I live about 75 miles east of there.
37 headlight pots, rings and glass ordered. Oil, filter, pan gasket, filter, royal purple at the ready. Tool chest organized, beer cooler at the ready... 4 more sleeps.
Still in the waiting game. Spent the day cutting, hacking and bending a firewall to wrap around a 302 in my buddies 27 sedan. His rule: has to be cheap and dirty. He's been a car guy all his life and bought into the rodent rod movement so it's not pretty. It is a great time building with a friend though.
Time for some new 36 x 36 inch artwork for the man cave. Now I need to start thinking about paint colours
She arrived today after a 350 mile trip though 4 inches of snow.My olds was heading home with it's new owner. Filthy and need of a sponge bath. tomorrow it's time to go down on her underside.
Drop it,chop it, shave it, you know ...all the easy stuff. This should keep you out of the pool hall for a while!
Yeah, it appears to be a great starting place. My #1 would be to pop off those 70s Crapice hubcaps and make it all one color...even if I planned to sand it off later. I wonder what goes through peoples minds when they tutone a car like that....especially those colors! My 2nd car was a black 41 coupe with a 57, 235 ...wish I'd taken a photo of it.
