Not mine, but here's a pic of what I'm looking for. You can see the piece hanging down on the belt. It screws to the front seat & allows the belt to pass through.

I have one turquoise one, but need 2 black ones. Not sure what to search for, as I don't know what it's called.

Escutcheon? Surround? Trim piece? I googled all these with the word "seat belt" and got image results.

My grandsons 1978 Ford Ranchero had them.. When I looked for them after upholstering his seat I found they made of unobtainium. Wrecking yards and paint my friend and good luck.

Maybe the lower of the two pieces is called that, but I think the OP is asking about the upper piece, the one with the flange on it. That flange attaches to the seat frame to hold the 'sleeve' portion in place in the seat back/frame as a guide for the belt.

Salvage yards are probably your best bet.

the Chevrolet parts manual call it a protector, GM used them on almost all cars with a bench seat in the late 60s, early 70s.

Ain't no wrecking yards in this area with 60's cars in them. All been crushed. Didn't think to do a google image search, duh. I can paint the one I have, but I only have one. Suppose I can just sew around the opening, & not worry about having them there. I don't have belts anyway, but did want the option to add them later. Googled the shit out of it & not coming up with much. I'm probably making too much of this. I'm the only one who will know they are not there, when I finish the seat.

I often use E-Bay just to search for an item, item name, etc. I used every suggestion given so far in this thread, and none of them really come close. It seems like these, no matter what they are called, are no longer available new, reproduced, or even sold as used. Good luck. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Looks like Butch is right. I've googled all of the suggestions, but there is nothing even close. Unless I can find some from a guy hoarding Impalas, I'll have to go to plan B. Cut a slice, fold back the edges & sew around the opening. It's for my '63 Belair wagon, but pretty sure they'd be the same at least from '61-'64 on most GM front bench seats. Maybe I'll try an Impala forum. Thanks
