Cool, but at sixteen feet long and as heavy (or heavier) as a regular car, it is hardly a cyclecar.

I know that you are the old expert on steam-powered vehicles!
This one you will sort easily - just to registered ti!
(three-wheeler, but not Morgan, old 60 years, propelled by steam-power)

Stu, my internet-freidn from Australia, built two steam automobiles, replicas of veteran cars:

1. the first was the replica of Stanley Steamer, used for parades only and at steam railway models poligons; it had two smaller boilers that was attested under law and standards for models...
2. the second was assembled kit-complete Likamobile, adapted and tuned a lot - for his friend Tom, RIP... Tom used it at roads, registered as original veteran steam-car, just had to remove disk-brakes during attest...

 

That looks like a lot of fun.

 

Steam cars are great IF you want to spend 5-6 hours fixing and maintenance for every hour running on the road

Steam stuff is only for tinkerers. If you don't love doing that then it's not for you.

 

Herb, I always thought I wanted a steam car. Last summer I rode in a Stanley on a tour day of about 75 miles. The owner/driver worked ALL day while driving, checking gauges and pumping water. My job was to refill the tank every 25 miles, used 1 1/4 gallons of water per mile. At the end of the day all I could taste was kerosene. Cured me of my desire.

 

BACK TO CYCLE CARS......

 

That needs a mouth smiling painted below the headlights,

 

THAT ONE HAD 10HP ENGINE IN THE BACK.... THE SMILE WAS ALWAYS PAINTED ON MY FACE DRIVING THE "RED THING"

 

Was that a home built of a production 3 wheeler? Has the look of a bumper car.
